Spartan Nano, which has recently moved into The Wilton Centre, was formed at the beginning of last year to provide high-quality analysis and contract research for the chemical and life sciences sectors.

The company's product development and contract research focus is on:
- Electrochemical and piezoelectric biosensors
- Nanoparticle synthesis
- Nanoparticle bioremediation
- Nanoparticle antimicrobials to target hospital 'superbugs' such as MRSA and c. difficile.

Dr Andrew Dean, CEO of Spartan Nano said: "Over the past year, we quickly outgrew our previous laboratory space and believe that moving to The Wilton Centre will allow us to consolidate and further expand our activities.

"In particular, we are looking forward to working in an environment geared towards high technology."
