The satellite plant
CompactGTL plc, the specialist gas-to-liquids company which focuses on oilfield developments, has announced an exciting new project at The Wilton Centre.
Based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, CompactGTL has relocated its prototype plant facility to the Centre.
The satellite plant will operate as a testing facility and is seen by the company as an important stage in its development.
CompactGTL’s business and strategy is focused on creating a unique value solution to the costly problem of associated gas disposal in the upstream oil and gas industry.
Peter Riches, Chief Executive of CompactGTL, said: “The prototype plant we are locating at The Wilton Centre plays a vital role in the development of our business this year.”
Moving the plant to The Wilton Centre Annexe required careful planning by CompactGTL staff and the team from Wilton Centre Facilities Management.
During the installation process, part of the plant had to be lifted in to the Centre using a crane in a delicate operation which went without a hitch.
Ross Morgan, General Manager, Technology Delivery, said: “The team at The Wilton Centre have been very helpful indeed. They have been very supportive and the arrival of the plant went very smoothly.”
