Health Round-up: Healthy accolade

December 2009

The Wilton Centre has secured an award recognising its commitment to health in the workplace.

Wilton Centre Facilities Management and residents AkzoNobel, Dupont Teijin Films and Taylor Shaw Catering attained the North East Better Health at Work Award.

The achievement follows a presentation to The Wilton Centre Safety Committee last year by Roz Elms, a Workplace Health Specialist representing Redcar & Cleveland Primary Care Trust.

The North East Better Health at Work Award is a partnership between workplaces, their local Primary Care Trust and other health improvement specialists.

Organisations sign a 'Better Health at Work Award Charter' then work towards three levels of attainment, Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.

The Wilton Centre partners have been awarded bronze, the first step.
