Recruitment company TechConsult UK has increased turnover and profits despite the toughest global trading conditions seen for many years.
The company, whose accounting year ended on 31 December, announced that turnover was £600,000 up on last year and profits rose by 23 per cent. TechConsult UK Ltd, which is based at The Wilton Centre, says that its turnover for the year was about £3m.
TechConsult UK, which operates within the offshore, fabrication and maintenance, process, shipbuilding, and civil engineering industries, says that it has achieved the figures despite difficult economic conditions.
Managing director Steve Guest said: "The message we take from the end of year figures is that even in a recession, companies are still remaining positive and are always looking for the skilled men and women needed to see them through tough times and take advantage of opportunities when they arise. Now, there is talk about recovery, albeit slow, and we believe that we are well placed to take advantage of that growing confidence."
* TechConsult UK Ltd has been appointed to work with Stockton-based TAS Engineering as it seeks to double its workforce from thirty to sixty within three years. The arrangement happened after Recruitment Consultant Daniel Hanafin met representatives of TAS Engineering at a networking event.
Daniel said: "We have many skilled people on our books and know that they will be able to help the company to expand in the months and years to come."
Kristine Grey, Sales and Marketing Manager for TAS Engineering, said:
"We chose TechConsult UK because of the level of service that they provide."
