Medacs completes acquisition
December 2009

Medacs Healthcare has acquired Capita Health Solution's Occupational Health business based in F1 of The Wilton Centre.
All of the staff and services historically provided by the team will remain in place, with no disruption to services and clinics.
Medacs Healthcare Plc, a division of Impellam Group Plc, is one of the leading healthcare companies in the UK, providing recruitment expertise and managed healthcare solutions to the public and private sectors.
The Managed Healthcare business provides a comprehensive integrated primary and secure forensic healthcare service.
The company delivers bespoke, risk managed healthcare provision ensuring that customers' well-being is effectively managed, utilising the combination of General Practitioner, nurse-led care and other clinicians trained to be proficient within their working environment.
Medacs currently manages and provides 24x7 medical and nursing cover for a range of police forces as well as 16 UK prisons.
Altogether, Medacs deals with more than 300,000 clinical contacts per annum, operating in a highly sensitive environment.
Its aim with the newly-acquired Occupational Health business is to consolidate existing contracts then build on the quality service provision that has been historically provided by the staff in The Wilton Centre, ranging from audiometry and asbestos worker medicals to blood and urine testing and physiotherapy.
