Fighting the battle against cancer
Viv Dale, of WCFM, was one of the Centre people taking part in the Race for Life on June 20 at Ormesby Hall, Middlesbrough to raise money for cancer research.
Residents are able to recycle the following materials at The Wilton Centre: glass containers; plastic bottles; newspapers and magazines; aluminium and steel cans; batteries; clothing; cardboard; office waste paper; confidential waste; scrap wood; office furniture; waste electrical and electronic equipment and scrap metal. Collection points are located at various locations around the Centre and details are displayed on The Wilton Centre notice boards.
The Wilton Centre landlord is looking into the feasibility of providing a gymnasium facility on the premises. A questionnaire has been circulated to all residents and responses are being examined. Further consultation with residents will take place as appropriate.
A number of maintenance projects are planned over the next twelve months, including work to corridors, stairwells, toilets and coffee points, in addition to planned maintenance to the Centre’s fabric and plant.
